Although it’s a random list, it helps you get to know me more than a community manager and blogger at GNC. My passion for life, health, and adventure is a choice I live out everyday. It's an interesting story of how I came about this role...
Originally, I grew up in Ohio as a swimmer, volleyball player, saxophonist, and shy farm girl. Post high school I attended Miami of Ohio, worked full time through college but managed to stay active in clubs and athletics. I graduated with a background in Biology and shortly after, packed my bags and moved to Charlotte, NC in pursuit of everything I thought I wanted.
Growing up I became exposed to natural and holistic therapies by a family member: doctor and nutritionist. He and his wife taught me the importance of preventative health vs. reactive health. I credit my passion for nutrition to both of them; they're quite the wealth of knowledge and living proof that healthy choices work.
After nearly two years in Charlotte and solid sales/consulting experience I relocated to Cincinnati to help friends start a non-profit. Sharing that experience with friends/ individuals pursuing their passion, I knew it was time for me to seek after my vision. A challenging consulting role with a nutraceutical company brought me to Pittsburgh summer of 2010 and further confirmed nutrition as my career path.
I was brought on board with GNC because of my zeal for healthy living, successful consulting experience, and honest desire to help people get healthy. I want to share with everyone what it means to look, feel, and Be Well; living a full life is about choosing wellness for LIFE so you can accomplish all that you set out to do and ultimately, make your ideology a reality.
I hope you'll find my perspective to be enlightening, fun, and applicable to you. Whether you need a laugh for the day, refresher on a stale routine, golden nugget of truth, or a swift kick in the tush, I promise to deliver you the best in all things related to nutrition.
