Your Best Body- Yoga Style

 This is the second in a series of five videos designed to help you achieve multiple fitness goals: sculpt a rockin’ body, prevent injury, stay lean, and build muscle to burn calories throughout the day.

Today’s Workout:

 Today we are doing a series of eight yoga poses that will benefit everyone. Whether it’s your first time doing yoga or you’ve been doing yoga for years, this routine will contribute to your overall wellbeing.

Benefits:

 Theses basic poses will increase flexibility, relieve stress, improve circulation, strengthen muscles, improve digestion and maintain a knockout body.  

Time:

 These poses can be done in the morning to energize your body. The poses can also be done in the evening at a slower pace to relax your body and help you sleep better. Make sure to take at least five deep breaths in each pose.

How yoga has helped me:

Yoga has kept my body pain free, lean, and flexible and my mind balanced, calm and aware. I started doing yoga in high school, just to avoid the negative effects of high impact sports. It did not take long for me to notice the huge benefits of holding poses while breathing deeply. Little did I know the practice would become a huge part of my life.  I spent a year traveling through South East Asia studying with different teachers. I now incorporate yoga into my daily routine, whether it’s a full hour or just 10 minutes before bed.  This simple practice can leave you feeling energized or relaxed, depending upon the time of day you do it.
